Robert de Niro was born on August 17, 1943 and would become one phenomenal actor. De Niro grew up in Manhattan where his acting career was honed. His rise to fame began in 1973 with his role in the film “Bang the Drum Slowly”. De Niro has received Academy Awards for The Godfather: Part II, Taxi Driver, Cape Fear, The Deer Hunter and Raging Bull. He has also received some four Golden Globe Awards.
